As a board-certified adult psychiatrist trained locally in medication management and talk therapy at the prestigious Institute of Living, Dr. Ruggieri offers a comprehensive approach to your care. 

She is a native New Englander, and graduated from the University of Rhode Island with a BS in Biomedical Engineering. Having attended Ross University School of Medicine, she trained up and down the east coast, and settled in Hartford where she completed an additional 4 years of post-graduate training, also known as a residency, at the Institute of Living at Hartford Hospital. 

In her separate role at the Institute of Living, she works as the Co-Director for the Center for Interventional Psychiatry, which offers ECT, TMS, and esketamine services. Whether you are looking for medication, therapy, both, or something else like TMS, esketamine, or ECT, Dr. Ruggieri will work tirelessly with you on finding a treatment that’s successful. Dr. Ruggieri is a member of the American Psychiatric Association and the Connecticut Psychiatric Society.
